Last weekend across the country the Jamboree Management Team (JMT) invited the Scouting community to attend a series of Roadshows to learn more about the Jamboree process. 10 Roadshows were held from Dunedin to Whangarei and JMT members talked to over 400 people, including many Scouts and Cubs. People were generally positive about Jamboree and looking forward to the planning process. Thanks to everyone who came and participated, especially those who travelled to attend. Two leaders even travelled 3 hours to attend one roadshow in the North Island! Hopefully everyone got a limited edition Jamboree website bracelet. Keep an eye out for these in your Scout Troops!
A wide range of topics were discussed such as the Jamboree logo, Troop Leader applications, Scout eligibility, and the Jamboree website. The JMT then answered the questions of participants (where they knew the answers). If you want to discuss any of these topics, or have more questions, please contact us so we can try to answer them.
